신사동 갤러리LVS에서 2025년 첫 전시로 전원근 개인전을 개최합니다. '회화적 기하학' 이라는 전시 제목은 맑은 아크릴 물감이 수없이 겹쳐지며 선과 면의 경계를 허물어가는 수행의 과정을 담았습니다. 다가오는 4월, 신작 20여점과 함께 깊은 색감이 주는 봄의 따뜻함을 느끼는 공간으로 꾸며드리겠습니다.

Gallery LVS will hold Jun Won Kun's solo exhibition as the first exhibition of 2025. 'Pictorial Geometry', the title of the exhibition, contains the process of practice in which clear acrylic paints are layered countless times to break down the boundaries between lines and surfaces. Coming up in this April, we prepare the space to make you to feel the warmth of spring from deep colors with 20 new paitings.


"회화적 기하학" 은 색채와 형태의 조합을 통해 회화의 본질을 탐구하는 작업이다. 여러 번의 색층이 중첩되면서 미묘한 변화가 발생하고, 색과 은연하게 우러나오는 아우라는  캔버스 위에서 끊임없이 새로운 관계를 형성한다. 작품 속에서 형태는 명확하면서도 유동적이며, 색의 밀도와 깊이가 함께 조화롭게 어우러진다. 통제와 직관이 교차하는 이 과정은 반복적인 붓질과 시간의 흐름 속에서 완성되며, 색을통해  기하학적인 형태를 해체되어가는 회화적인 과정 자체가  하나의 독립적인 존재로 자리 잡는다.
이는 또다른 조형언어를 만드는것을 의미한다


"Pictorial Geometry" is a body of work that explores the essence of painting through the interplay of color and form. Multiple layers of color accumulate, creating subtle shifts and variations, while the aura that emerges from these layers continuously forms new relationships on the canvas. Within the artwork, forms remain both distinct and fluid, harmonizing with the density and depth of color.
This process, where control and intuition intersect, unfolds through repetitive brushstrokes and the passage of time. As geometric forms gradually dissolve into color, the very act of painting becomes an autonomous entity. Ultimately, this approach signifies the creation of a new visual language, expanding the boundaries of pictorial expression.
