‘KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa’는 세계에서 인정받는 공예도시 가나자와에서 개최되는 공예 아트페어 입니다. 신진 작가의 작품에서부터 세계에서 활약하는 작가의 작품에 이르기 까지 국내외의 갤러리가 한자리에 모여 예술성, 독창성 높은 유일무이의 공에 작품을 소개하는 기회입니다.
개최지 가나자와는 번 정권에서부터 400년이상에 걸쳐 차도구, 불교, 전통예술, 음악이 지역내에 침투하여 지금까지도 전통문화가 생활 속에서 숨쉬고 그 가치를 인정받아 2009년에 유네스코 창조도시 네트워크 공예분야로 인정받았습니다.
‘KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa’는 가나자와에서 새로운 공예의 가치관이나 미의식을 공예로서 세계에 전하는 장이 되어, 공예의 다양한 가치를 접하고 새로운 만남과 기쁨을 느낄 수 있는 기회가 되길 바랍니다.

KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa will be the first KOGEI Art Fair to be held in Kanazawa, a city recognized internationally as a city of crafts. From works of art from rising young artists, to those of artists renowned world-wide, both domestic and international galleries will come together to provide an opportunity to exhibit these creative, artistic and highly unique KOGEI works. For a period of over 400 years since feudal government times, the venue of Kanazawa has been a city where the traditions of old Japan such as tea ceremony, Zen Buddhism, Noh theatre and utai (the chanting of Noh texts) have permeated throughout the city and are still alive today. The value of these traditions was recognized in 2009 when Kanazawa was first designated as a member of The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the creative field of Crafts and Folk Art. KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa will be a platform to showcase the fresh, new values and aesthetic consciousness of KOGEI from Kanazawa to the world. We hope that the Art Fair will provide opportunities to experience the wide variety of values of KOGEI, and the joy of new experiences and encounters.

KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawaは世界に認められた工芸都市・金沢にて開催するはじめてのKOGEIアートフェアです。新進気鋭の若手の作品から世界で活躍する作家の作品まで、国内外のギャラリーが一堂に会し、芸術性、創造性の高い唯一無二のKOGEI作品をご紹介できる機会となります。
開催地の金沢は藩政期から400年以上にわたって、茶の湯、禅、能楽、謡がまちなかに浸透し、今もなお伝統文化がくらしのなかで息づき、その価値が認められ2009年にはユネスコの創造都市ネットワークのクラフト分野に世界で初めて認定されました。
KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawaは金沢から新しい工芸の価値観や美意識を「KOGEI」として世界に発信する場であり、KOGEIの多様な価値に触れ、新しい出会いや喜びを感じて頂く機会になることを願っています。

이번 가나자와 공예 아트페어에서는, 한국의 현대 백자와 더불어 대한민국 중요무형문화재 제 53호 채상장 서신정과 재 103호 완초장 이상재를 소개한다. 이 기술은 조선시대때 부터 행해져 온 기술의 문화로 현대에 와서 그 가치를 인정받아 한국의 중요무형문화재로 지정되었다. 한국의 귀중하고 단아한 아름다움을 담은 예술로 전통을 계승하면서도 현대적인 코드로 해석할 수 있는 독창적인 표현으로 승화시킨 작품을 중점적으로 소개한다.

Gallery LVS with LVS CRAFT is a pioneer in contemporary ceramic arts and crafts, especially the modern white porcelain that follows the Joseon dynasty’s tradition. The noble modesty and virtue of Joseon porcelains is transformed into a contemporary sensitivity and utility, with perfect artisanship.

Gallery LVS & LVS CRAFTは、今回、韓国の現代白磁をはじめとして、「第53番チェサン(彩箱)匠の竹のかご編み」と「第103番ワンチョ匠のワングル編み」を紹介します。この技術は、朝鮮王朝時代から継承された文化として、現代にきて洗練な技術に認められ、韓国の重要無形文化財に指定されました。 韓国の貴重で端雅な美を込めた芸術で、伝統を継承しながらも現代性の独創な表現へと昇華させる作品をご紹介します。
